Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the European standard EN 301 549 (Pdf) and the Web Accessibility Evaluation Reference (RAWeb) v1.1, which implements it, due to the elements listed below.

Non-compliance

  • Some text, graphic elements, or focus indicators do not have sufficient contrast.
  • Certain link title attributes do not exactly match the visible label, though they remain sufficient to understand the link destination.
  • Language changes are not always declared or are inappropriate for certain terms.
  • Empty paragraph tags are used in textual content to create spacing.
  • Aside tags are misused in certain content sections.
  • Some lists are not always identifiable as such by assistive technologies.

Disproportionate burden

Not all office documents available on the site fully comply with EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (Pdf). The volume of documents requiring adjustment to achieve compliance is substantial and would demand excessive resources. However, we commit to providing, upon request, an accessible version of content on a case-by-case basis (refer to the "Feedback and contact details" section).

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 27 April 2026. The information contained herein is accurate and based on an effective assessment of this website’s compliance with the requirements set out in RAWeb 1.1, as conducted through a self-assessment by the Ministry of Justice.

Control process

Websites developed under the Renow framework follow a centralised and generic architecture, adhering to project management processes while complying with the Renow checklist. To ensure neutrality, we regularly engage accessibility experts to verify the compliance of websites or new features.

Each site is evaluated in multiple stages:

  1. During content structure design.
  2. When creating graphical and functional mock-ups.
  3. Immediately prior to launch.

Once the site is live, checks are performed as follows:

  • For each new content addition, the editorial team verifies full accessibility before publication.
  • Each new site feature is assessed prior to release.

During evaluations, the site is tested with leading screen readers on tablets, mobile devices, and PCs. Testing also includes compatibility with various web browsers (supporting versions up to two releases prior to the current one).

Expertise of contributors

Work procedures incorporate the application of web directives at all stages of site development (writing, management, and technical implementation).

Our staff possess the required knowledge and skills to correctly apply web directives.

We commit to responding by email within one month at the latest. To resolve the issue sustainably and where reasonable, we will prioritise correcting the accessibility defect online. If this is not feasible, the requested information will be provided in an accessible format of your choice:

  • In writing (document or email).
  • Orally (during a meeting or by telephone).

Procedure for enforcing compliance

If the response is unsatisfactory, you may also inform the Information and Press Service (the body responsible for accessibility oversight) via its online complaint form, or contact the Ombudsman, the mediator for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
